People Leadership for the Modern Era
Leadership in the corporate world is broken. In the post-WWII era, leadership and management philosophies and methodologies like those of Peter Drucker emerged and took hold. While these worked well for that era of command-control organizational design, this old school way of thinking has not held up well to the test of time when it comes to employee engagement and performance. Much like a game of telephone where the message gets changed and diluted as it moves around the circle, so too have these leadership methodologies become watered down and bastardized for each successive generation of leaders. Simply put – they are no longer as effective as they once were. It’s time for a new way of thinking that inspires and motivates today’s workforce, and unlocks their full potential to help drive better business results. Put people first, and businesses will thrive and come out first in the end.
